As the northernmost trails in the redwood parks, the Leiffer and Ellsworth Loops don’t receive the volume of tourists common to some of the groves farther south. A fair distance away from CA 199, the area is less prone to traffic noise than some of those groves as well. While you may not see any spectacular giants with correspondingly statuesque names, these old-growth redwoods are quite impressive in their own right.
