You will be treated to not one but two waterfalls on this hike along a section of the Appalachian Trail (AT). Your children will enjoy exploring on the rocks near the falls—under your close supervision, of course. The water gushing over the rocky ledges of Big Niagara Falls is sure to be awe-inspiring for the whole family. After signing in, immediately cross a footbridge over a stream and begin winding your way south between rocks and over roots, following the white blazes of the AT. This is also a section of the Daicey Pond Nature Trail, which circles the pond. In 0.1 mile, you will reach a trail junction. Here, the Daicey Pond Nature Trail heads left. Stay to the right on the AT to head toward the falls. Be sure to peek to your right to see glimpses of mountains through the trees. Can anyone hear the gurgling of a stream? In approximately 0.3 mile, the trail curves to the left and a side trail on your right heads down to a picturesque view of the stream set against a spectacular mountainous backdrop.
