New England, natives lament, has nine months of winter and three months of darn poor sledding. And, I might add, a rather brief (albeit spectacular!) hiking season. That’s what makes Red Rocks Park such a find. A place for all seasons (and all kids), the park features a dazzling wildflower display in spring, lifeguard-supervised swimming in summer, stunning colors adorning the fifty-plus varieties of trees and shrubs in fall, solitude in winter, and fine bird-watching year-round.
