Think of Mount Equinox as a three-part package: the thrilling (if somewhat hairy) vehicle ride up Sky Line Drive to the highest spot in the Taconic Range; the sensational 360-degree views from the mountaintop; and the foot trail that circles the summit through dense woods. The trail suffers from overuse in some places and neglect in others, but that does not detract from this top-of-the-world experience.
