Expect it to be busy on a nice day. Good views and great for familys or beginners. Dogs allowed on leashes.
This seems to be a favorite hike of locals, but it's also a great first hike for those just arriving to Banff. Gives you a great view of the townsite, valley, and the Fairmount. Stunning views of Mount Rundle await you at the top. The backside of this tame-looking mountain will surprise you as well (particularly when you view it later from the Hoodoo Trail overlook on the other side of the river).
Great quick hike. Comprised of a steady incline, this hike is a heart pumper. It's just on the edge of town, and offers great views of the river and Banff Springs hotel and golf course.
