While the hike was not physically challenging - there were a number of things that made the outcome somewhat dissapointing. First, you are sharing the trail with ATV'ers and in parts the trail became so muddy we had to wade through mud up to our shins or try and navigate around it , which cost quite a bit of time. Secondly the trail was not very well maintained and we had to often climb over brush and deadfall. By the time we made it to the meadows we found itssomewhat anticlimactic- while the scenery is pretty it is nothing spectacular. Be prepared to get wet, you have to ford the river twice, and there are not many places to go to avoid getting wet. All in all it is a decent hike, and mostly straight forward. Great to do if you want to see different areas of David thompson. You have forest, meadows and mountains all mashed into one.
