Britton Peak, Cedar Overlook, and the lovely, ever-changing maple forest (nice fall walk) are certainly the highlights of this easy walk. Early morning, a muffled silence surrounds us as fog quilts the forest, hiding even leaves which have an eerie crinkling sound in the light breeze. There was rain last night, and if we ignore the mist from the fog there is the chance of real showers later on. The thought of having to wear a raincoat on this humid day is already making me sweat.
