Loreto’s large panga fleet makes hiring a boat for your own fly fishing trip easy. Several companies here also offer inshore and offshore trips including Baja Bigfish Co. that caters to fly fishers. Beach areas south of Loreto are highlighted. While in Loreto be sure to visit the Catholic Mission and the adjacent museum. Founded over 300 years ago by Jesuit Padre Juan María Salvatierra, it’s the oldest mission in Baja. Loreto was also the original capital of Baja.
