Silver Lake Nature Center not only has a fascinating history, but it’s also a great place for a quick retreat into nature. The area offers 4.5 miles of trails to explore, including the nearby Delhaas Woods, which has been deemed the “best remaining example of Coastal Plain Woodlands” in Pennsylvania. This hike takes you through the main part of the nature center’s trails, out to the lake overlook, and through a number of wetland areas. This hike is popular with children and students. Wetlands surround you as you walk the trail.
