This easy walk has something for everyone. Geology buffs will enjoy strolling atop an esker, which is a sand and/or gravel ridge formed by the movement of water associated with a melting glacier. Although there are a few pitch pines here, the forest consists mostly of hardwoods—oaks and other species— and this gives a richly wooded character to the terrain. Note: Trail names (colors) on the latest Land Bank map may not correspond in all cases to signage or to names on older maps.
