Bordering the tiny Jenkins Wildlife Sanctuary, this ample conservation area is a treasure trove of native trees, shrubs, and wildflowers. The walk described below traverses the east side of the area through forest and beside marshes; another trail leaves from the west side of the parking area and goes to a parking area next to the West Barnstable Fire Station on Route 149.

Not all that exciting, but when the leaves and flowers start to bloom, it'll be a pretty little walk. some of the planks over the wet areas need to be mended, and there are some real muddy areas, but all in all it's an easy walk and a good trail to take your dog.

Simple, level ramble, not challenging. Many exposed roots so you need thick-soled boots and need to keep you eyes on the ground. Nothing very spectacular. Takes less than an hour.
