Start at Bear Branch Nature Center and stroll through 10 different examples of environmentally friendly land usages. Enter the trailhead and follow the sign to the pavilion. The wooden fence flanking the crushed rock trail zigzags to the bottom of the hill. When you see the pavilion on the left, head right through the open field and then left at the sign pointing to the blue-blazed Vista Trail. Almost immediately you will come to a 3-way intersection; take a left up the hill.
