Not well marked. Mill is nicely restored and photo opportunity. We never could find a trail head but enjoyed meandering around. Nice picnic area with tables available. Mill pond provides good bird viewing
This is a great quick walk that is close enough to hit in the afternoon. Beware of the trail head closing at Riverside though......and by all means dont cross the police barrier!
We hiked this trail with our two dogs on a late Sunday morning. We started at Roswell Mill and looped around. It wasn't that busy, which was nice
There are some helpful maps along the trail and some tree's marked blue so you can follow along.
However, not all tree's are clearly marked and it is not posted which way is a dead end, or that an area of the trail is closed.
Because of this we did a lot of doubling back, and thats our only gripe
There are many forks along the trail and a couple map postings were missing so one must resort to doing an eenie -meenie -minnie -mo which part of the trail to go..but it kept it interesting.
The trail is peppered with moderately steep inclines, its not your grandma's trail - but the areas near the falls and dams (By the Mill) are handicap accessible and they are very pretty.
Because its so close to our home, and offeres some great views we'll surely be back.
