Stony Run Falls and Blue Suck Falls are located in Douthat State Park, established in 1936 as one of the first six state parks in Virginia. The Civilian Conservation Corps left its mark with fine Depression-era landscaping, stone masonry, and wood craftsmanship throughout the park. While the waterfalls won’t knock your socks off, the state park as a whole, which is recognized as a National Historic District, is very impressive.
