Fallingwater Cascades is on a National Recreation Trail that was established, along with Flat Top Trail, in 1982. The trailhead is on the Blue Ridge Parkway, but you will enter the Jefferson National Forest within 50 yards. Stone steps lead down to Fallingwater Creek, and a footbridge signifies the beginning of the falls. The parking area is at 2,557 feet; the waterfall is at an elevation of 2,300 feet.
