The 30-foot Wigwam Falls is convenient to the Blue Ridge Parkway and requires only a short hike. It is worth a visit if you are on the Parkway, especially in spring. To reach Wigwam Falls, follow the easy and short Yankee Horse Trail on the east side of the Parkway through open hardwood forest. The waterfall isn’t actually on Wigwam Creek but on a small tributary, which can just about dry up in the summer. When the leaves are off the trees, you can see Wigwam Falls from the road.
