A very busy dog-walking area. You are likely to meet people with pets here at any time of year. The trailhead starts right from the parking lot, past the metal gate or off to the left into the woods. There are free maps and information about the Lower Kennebec Regional Land Trust, which owns this property. The map is terribly inaccurate in terms of illustrating the actual trails, but it does show the overview of the land preserve so you can get your bearings. Most people walk up to the top of the overlook, where there is a stone table.
