This preserve encompasses 50 acres, but it is divided into two parts on either side of a fairly busy paved road. The trails that lead away from the road (Flying Point Road) are both marked and easy to follow. The trail that goes down to Maquoit Bay makes a loop, while its counterpart across the street is an out and back. You can see the water in the bay, but you are fairly high up and away from the water’s edge, so there really is no water access. The out-and-back trail is longer and you end up at a swamp, which is probably why this trail is quite wet in places.
