This is an easement on 87 acres of woodlands. It is sometimes used for forestry demonstrations for local school children, so small identification signs are mounted at the base of some of the trees. The trail is marked with yellow blazes and makes a loop. However, it is unclear from the map at the entrance to the parking area that this conservation area connects with the Sayles Field trail system, so it is easy to go too far. Thus, pay attention to the color of the blazes on the trees; when the blaze color switches from yellow to white, you are heading toward Sayles Field. If you plan it that way, these two conservation properties can afford you hours of trails and dense woods to walk in. This property is fairly flat with some mild inclines, some wetlands, and lots of mosquitoes and horseflies (in the summer), so come prepared with bug spray. The parking area is off the paved road and has room for several vehicles. Bring your own poop bags and keep the woods clear of garbage. Do not remove anything from this forest.
