Easy Hiking Around Vancouver

Great little family hiking trail! Did this with my brother-in-law, wife, 5 year old son and 2 year old daughter strapped to my back. The 200m elevation gain and 7km distance was just perfect for a 5 year old, never mind, two parents trying to get back into hiking again. We walked straight to the falls along the lower Woodland trail.
The return journey took us by way of the Upper Loop trail. Be sure to include the Upper Loop trail as part of your trek. It offers a peaceful walk amidst some massive tree stumps that have been left behind from the days of logging. A definite must see! My wife actually found and old log splitting wedge.
The only drawback to this trail was the constant sounds of rifles bellowing out from local gun club situated at the head of the trail. However, once you got deeper into the forest the sounds became somewhat muffled. When the gun fire finally did cease the journey became quite pleasant.
Despite the rumblings from the gun club I would have no hesitation recommending this trail.
