If fishing and allied water sports are not the only attractions in Garibaldi, they are certainly the main ones. The town is home port to a large commercial fishing fleet, which makes fresh seafood readily available to local markets and restaurants. The harbor has boat-launching and mooring facilities and a fleet of modern charter boats. You can crab from boats or docks and piers and dig clams on minus tides at nearby flats.
Rockaway Beach is small—little more than a strip along Highway 101—yet it offers visitors more than 300 motel and inn rooms, many with commanding ocean views. Access to a 7-mile stretch of fine, broad beach is another of the town’s assets. This eTrail includes information on lodging, campgrounds, RV parks, restaurants, entertainment, shopping, and outdoor activities near these coastal cities.
