We started the trail from Gold Nugget Road just off of I-10. The instructions for the first part of the trail in the guide are a little confusing especially with all the criss-crossing trails. There are plastic brown markers to help. We used a local map and the markers to find our way to the main trail to Dripping Springs. The trails are not very rough or challenging until you get to the narrow canyon. This spot is the only place we passed others. There is a side trail that the guide says is closed but we had no problem getting all the way up to the stone house and open area below the springs. We took the alternate exit to the south out. The narrow canyon out is challenging. We had to maneuver over to waterfalls that required some planning but not overly risky. An pretty easy and fun adventure.
