A nice day trip with wonderful scenery. Most stock 4x4s shouldn't have any problems at all on this trail. We saw residual snow on one of the trips so beware of recent weather events and plan accordingly.
Me and my fiance went on this trail today and absolutely loved it. It was a great trail to break in the new 08 Jeep Liberty.
Also, missed our first turn. T start at the beginning of the trail you want to turn left off of Hewitt Station on to the FS road where the Woodbury sign is, and then cross the wash.
Pretty much after this you can find the rest of trail pretty easy. There is a big dip filled with water today when we went, but it was no trouble with a 4x4.
Once we traveled all the way to the top it was gorgeous scenery. We passed a lot of places to set up camp.
On our way down the trail you have to travel down a wash, but when we did it was raining somewhat and it was filling with water. Put the Jeep in 4WD and went right up with no problem. Awesome trail, but make sure you have good clearance, or skid plates. Well worth the visit.
Wonderful ride very easy nice scenery. Can get chilly
