I go up this canyon all the time in my Manx dune buggy with stock height and suspension. Awesome canyon especially in the spring. Much more enjoyable if you air down your tires no matter what you drive.
Look out for locals using the lower section of the trail as a gun range. Plenty of areas to stop and have lunch. High clearance 4WD needed in only one section of dry waterfall.
WE DROVE THIS TRAIL IN MY 2003 TOYOTA TACOMA 4WD, ITS STOCK AND I HAD IT IN 2 WHEEL DRIVE THE WHOLE TIME. ITS A NICE DRIVE THROUGH THE PARK ENDING ON DILLION ROAD TO THE SOUTH. IT TOOK ABOUT 3 HOURS TO DO. WE STOPED FOR LUNCH AND PICTURES. THERE ARE 2 SPOTS THAT REQUIRE YOU TO PAY ATTENTION BUT NOTHING TO GET EXCITED ABOUT.
ALL IN ALL THIS WAS A NICE DRIVE. STOCK HIGH CLEARANCE VEHICLE CAN DO IT WITH NO PROBLEM
4 STARS FOR FUN AND BEAUTY 1 STAR FOR DIFFICULTY
