I enjoyed this trail. The trail is easy to follow and is flat for the first mile. The trail begins to climb steeply on the way up to the veiwpoint, providing some excercise for those who seek it. The view from the top is a nice reward. You can look out at Sleeping Giant, the New Haven skyline and Long Island sound.
The Judge's Cave was more of a cluster of large boulders than a cave, but it's nice to have something of historical interest along the trail. Plus it seemed a good spot to do some bouldering.
Unfortunately Judge's Cave and the viewpoint are accessible by car, so there is a fair amount of broken glass and grafitti.
