Best Easy Day Hikes: Rhode Island

This can be a nice little hike to suit certain needs. I'll try to give a few details first, and then some impressions.
1-The trail guide posted here is way out of date. 2) There really is no "trail", since the whole hike is on roads. Ignore the trail markings shown on the map from this site. Just follow the roads on the map & you'll be ok. 3) Nearly all of the land surrounding the route is either private property or owned by the city of Providence. There are No Trespassing signs all over the place on the Providence land, which is what makes the supposed trail impossible now, even if there was a trail in the past. 4- The directions to the trailhead are fine, but we found it easier to park on Kate Randall Rd. There isn't a trailhead, or a trail sign to speak of, so you could start the trail almost anywhere you please.
Impressions: If you want to get out the door quick without needing much gear or preparation, this will get your outdoor fix. A couple hills will even get your blood pumping a little. There are nice views of the reservoir and the RI woodland. There are 3-4 neat historic cemeteries on the route as well. Even though the whole deal is on roads, much of it has a trail feel to it. Overall, I enjoyed it more than I thought I'd enjoy a road route. If you're a runner, you could run this whole route. I know I plan to soon.
