This is a very easy trail and hike. Print your own map and directions before you go as there were no trail maps available except the one posted at the trailhead. There are a lot of debris left from the flooding during hurricane Harvey. You can see driftwood high up in some trees. Trail maintenance was pretty good, no deadfalls on the trails and very little litter. The trail itself is easy to follow but is not traditionally marked with blazes. There are trail signs at intersections. Some native plants are identified, especially around the Pond Loop trail, but some of the signs are so faded as to be illegible. Parking is convenient. The precinct office was closed.
