This drive rolls through the flat, sandy center part of the state that was once the bed of a huge glacial lake and travels the straightest road in Wisconsin on the first leg of the drive. Among the featured stops are the Necedah National Wildlife Refuge, where you can see just about every sort of migratory bird that travels through the state, and Roche A Cri State Park, home to Roche A Cri, a 300-foot-high stack of sandstone that towers over the surrounding marshes.
