This 54-mile, north-to-south drive traverses the Wenatchee Mountains between Stevens Pass and Snoqualmie Pass highways. This route incorporates the 48-mile Forest Service Scenic Blewett Pass drive. The first 21 miles climb through rugged, wooded terrain to Blewett Pass. From there, the drive descends to a plateau that overlooks the Swauk Prairie and Kittitas Valley, then descends through rolling farmlands to Ellensburg. In the winter, traction devices may be required.
