Sault Ste. Marie, the state’s oldest city and home of the world famous Soo Locks, is the starting point for this drive, approximately 70 miles. From Sault Ste. Marie, you will follow some of Lake Superior’s most beautiful shoreline to the Point Iroquois Light Station. The drives ends at Whitefish Point, home to the Great Lakes Shipwreck Museum and Whitefish Point Bird Observatory.
