This is a lovely walk among woods and flowers whose attractions change with the seasons. It is a special treat for gardeners and wildflower enthusiasts. The garden is a living museum of temperate North American flora, but gardeners do remove unwanted varieties, trim trees, rake the autumn leaves, and apply fertilizer. It displays more than 1,600 varieties of plants, including over 200 rare and endangered species. Specially designed gardens showcase particular ecological environments and types of wildflowers. From early spring through late fall, the garden offers a continually changing variety of foliage and flowers. Special attractions: Wildflowers in a natural setting.
