This walk takes you along one of Boston’s major thoroughfares, Massachusetts Avenue, from Symphony Hall/Christian Science Mother Church to Harvard University, while crossing the Charles River and taking you past the MIT campus, much interesting architecture, the sites of many interesting and historical events, and varied peoples and neighborhoods. This is an excellent “rubbing elbows” walk along busy streets offering a smorgasbord of sights and sounds. Special attractions: Symphony Hall, Horticultural Hall, the First Church of Christ Scientist, Harvard Bridge and the Charles River, the MIT campus and museum, Central Square, Harvard Square, and the urban sights and sounds along the way.
