This is an easy, enjoyable, and interesting urban walk. The neighborhood is beautiful, the architectural styles grand and varied, the ambiance pleasant, the historical and literary connections interesting, and the shopping marvelous. What's not to like? This walk has easy, flat, well-paved sidewalks and protected crossings. Restrooms and water are available at the Boston Public Library. Special attractions: Great architecture, statuary, shopping, and people watching, and wide, tree-shaded Commonwealth Avenue Mall.
