On this walk you will trek Atlanta’s highest point, Peachtree Ridge, at the confluence of three ridges. Rivers on the east of the ridge flow to the Atlantic, and those on the west flow to the Gulf of Mexico or the Mississippi River.
You will also notice odd-shaped lots, blocks, and buildings. These came about because streets followed old Indian trails, and railroad tracks also went at odd angles. You may also notice that only four streets meet at Five Points rather than five; at one time five Indian trails met there. Special attractions: Historic buildings, Woodruff Park.
