The Midtown Greenway is a relatively short, but vital, 5.5-mile link that provides a direct crosstown route for recreation and bike commuting in south Minneapolis. Most of the trail is below grade, a result of the former railroad being mandated to sink the tracks, which today offers a safe corridor separating trail users from busy streets.
