It doesn’t take much work to get to the great views and sights in this small county park. Outdoor enthusiasts in northern New Jersey have long known that Pyramid Mountain is a special place.
This small 934-foot bump near Boonton’s Taylortown Reservoir boasts a diverse forest with some species that are otherwise rare in the state. The mountain is home to Tripod Rock, a large glacial erratic sitting on three smaller boulders, and also offers sweeping views to the east and west.
