An excellent summit hike to open ledges with magnificent views overlooking Penobscot Bay. Bald Rock Mountain’s open, ledgy summit provides some of the best views within Camden Hills State Park. On a clear day, there are sweeping vistas of West Penobscot Bay from east of Camden to Deer Isle.

At 1,100 feet, it is among the highest mountains in the park, yet the modest grade to the top makes it a perfect hike for families.

Really fun hike, can easily be combined with Frohock Mountain to make a nice loop. Awesome views from the summit, plus there is a lean-to shelter and an outhouse up there.
