An in-town walk along a busy working harbor with fishing boats, piers, and delightfully landscaped residential gardens. The land for Fisherman’s Walk was donated by private citizens, and indeed it is a wondrous gift to stroll this path beside the tidal York River. When the tide is out, gulls, yellowlegs, and other “waders” forage the mud flats for clams and mussels. At high tide, the water lilts against the docks and wharves. Special Features: harborside walkway, landscaped residences overlooking the harbor, lively private and commercial harbor, and historic Sayward-Wheeler estate.
