Enjoy paddling the deepest glacial lake in the state as you watch raptors soar above abundant waterfowl. Four bodies of water reside within Kittatinny Valley State Park, two of which provide pleasant paddling opportunities. Situated just outside the mountainous Appalachian Ridge and Valley region, the land here starts giving way to the gentle rolling hills of the Piedmont Plateau. Note: If you view Lake Aeroflex on Google Earth, it’s now called New Wawayanda Lake, although most Web references and maps still note it as Lake Aeroflex. Clean restrooms and picnic tables are available at both the regional park office at the Lake Aeroflex launch and at the park office on the west side of the lake.
