By far the best feature of Cabin Lake Park is the lake itself. The park has canoes and paddleboats for rent by the hour, or you can bring your own and use the boat ramp. There’s a nice sandy swim beach, a fishing pier, playgrounds for the little ones, and a picnic area.
You can see the lake from the campground, but it’s not as though you have lakefront campsites. While there is some tree cover, the sites are close together, and there’s no privacy. On top
of this, Cabin Lake sits in the middle of cow country, so there’s a slight smell of the nearby dairy farms wafting through the air at times.
