Carolina Beach State Park has the best of both worlds. Miles of hiking trails lead through the forest over rolling, hilly terrain. The sandy banks of Snows Cut offer amazing waterfront views, and the beach is just minutes away. The group camping areas are primitive camping only, and you must hike in about 0.25 mile to reach the sites. Advanced reservations are required. There are 2 wheelchair-accessible campsites.
