While the state park system calls this group “camping,” it is not actually camping. You don’t come in, pick your site, and set up a tent. Instead there are two separate areas with several cabins in each area. Some of the cabins are like army barracks, with beds lined up in a row and lockers in them. Others are smaller and have several sets of bunk beds ready to go. There are community bathhouses and a large mess hall with a beautiful fireplace. Both camps are wheelchair accessible. There’s a swim area, a fishing pier, and a canoe launch with canoes on the premises for you to use. A basketball net, volleyball court, and horseshoe pits are all within walking distance of the cabins.
