Location, location, location. This is paradise. Just about every site in the J. C. Cooper Campground has a waterfront view. As the sun sets at Satterwhite Point, the deer come out in droves, and a variety of colors bounce off the calm reflection on the lake. There are picnic areas tucked away in little coves along the lake’s edge. A playground for the little ones and a boat launch for the adults are designated for campers only. The campground sits just south of the Satterwhite Point day-use area, which gives you easy access to more playgrounds, open fields, an enormous swim beach, picnic shelters, and hiking trails.
