There are not many places in the Pisgah National Forest where you are allowed to take motorized vehicles on the trail. So if you enjoy a good four-wheel drive, this 34-mile trail system is just for you. There are trails to accommodate all levels, from novice to expert. A handful of dispersed campsites sit along the side of FR 299 as you head to the trailhead. But remember, you came here to ride, not for peace and quiet. So embrace the rumble and roar of the OHV engine as it revs up in the background. While the camping is free, a daily trail pass is required to ride the trails.
