Clean bathrooms, hot showers, flush toilets, and a 0.25-mile walk to paradise! Nestled away on its own pristine peninsula, the campground at Lake James State Park gets top marks. The sites are perfectly spaced out, and the crystal-clear lake water has quite an allure. This is true waterfront camping. There are boat docks at the campground, so you can bring your boat, put in down the street at the Canal Bridge Boat Launch, and then leave your car overnight. Or if you prefer, bring a canoe or kayak and paddle out right from your own “backyard.”
