The Cove Creek group camping area itself is nothing special. It consists primarily of two large, open grassy fields, with a gravel road for easy access. A large picnic shelter with charcoal grills and a vault toilet are the extent of its amenities. However, Cove Creek passes right by, and two beautiful waterfalls are just a short walk away.
A third and even more impressive waterfall lies within easy reach of the campground, as miles of hiking and mountain biking trails lead directly from the campsites out into the vast respite of the Pisgah National Forest.
