While the neighboring horse camp is making strides toward improvement, the Hurricane Creek Primitive Campground is not. In fact, primitive is an understatement! There are no sites, no tent pads, no picnic tables, nary a fire ring. And to top it off, you have to walk next door to the horse camp if you want to use the vault toilet located there. Unless you are looking for the bare minimum, bypass this one, and head up the road a few miles to the Standing Indian Campground instead. The guide also includes information on Hurricane Creek Horse Camp.
