Cheoah Point Campground sits on a little peninsula on Santeetlah Lake. The sites are rather open to one another so you don’t get a ton of privacy here. The RV sites in particular are placed right on top of one another, but they do have electric and water hookups. The tent sites offer a bit more privacy. Some of them require a short walk down to the lake’s edge to set up camp, giving you a prime waterfront camping experience. Lake Santeetlah has island after island just waiting for you to explore. Whether in a boat, canoe, or kayak, the lake can be easily accessed via the nearby boat launch. If you prefer to enjoy the lake from the shoreline, the campground also offers a small beach with a swim area.
