This trail is situated in the Absaroka Mountains between the West and East Boulder Plateaus on a steep slope to the west of the Boulder River. The route takes you from Falls Creek drainage to Great Falls Creek drainage in a mile-long traverse across the mountainside. It’s a gradual climb in which you gain 500 feet in elevation and can appreciate nice views toward the mountains and the valley to the east.
