The Crystal Cascades Trail is a fun challenge during the summer months with rewarding scenery along densely forested East Fork Big Rock Creek. Be prepared with a good walking stick and sturdy footwear for crossing the stream. Sixteen thigh-deep fords each way will keep your feet wet the entire hike. However, the beauty and uniqueness of the falls that magically flows out of a cave in the mountainside makes up for the obstacles along the way. Connect with a network of nearby trails to extend your hiking in the Big Snowy Mountains.
